Winter is the perfect time to get moving, make new friends, and discover the joy of dance! At Dance Discovery in South Edmonton, our winter dance classes are designed to keep kids active, confident, and creative — even when it’s chilly outside.
With short-term sessions and age-appropriate instruction, these programs make it easy for families to try dance without a long-term commitment. Whether your child loves to twirl, tumble, or groove, there’s a class that will make their winter sparkle.
Tumble Time:
Acro & Jazz for Ages 5–9
It’s time to flip, roll, and leap into fun! Tumble Time is a high-energy 6-week session that introduces dancers to both acro and jazz. Kids build strength, coordination, and confidence while exploring movement in a supportive, playful environment.
Program Details:
- Session: January 10 – February 14
- Time: Saturdays, 9:30–10:15 AM
- Cost: $115 + GST
- Ages: 5–9 years
- No experience required
Registration opens November 1, 2025
What to Wear:
Leggings or shorts with a fitted tank top or bodysuit and tights. Bare feet or grip socks are perfect, no special shoes needed!

Twinkling Tutus:
Ballet for Ages 4–7
If your little one dreams of dancing on their tiptoes, Twinkling Tutus is the perfect start! This 5-week ballet session introduces beginners to the magic of classical ballet through movement, music, and imagination.
Program Details:
- Session: February 21 – March 21
- Time: Saturdays, 1:00–1:45 PM
- Cost: $99 + GST
- Ages: 4–7 years
- Beginner-friendly

What to Wear:
Leggings or a bodysuit with tights and ballet slippers (or bare feet). Comfort and joy are the priorities here!

Pop Star Beats!:
Hip Hop for Ages 5–9
Get ready to move, groove, and shine! Pop Star Beats! is an upbeat 5-week hip hop session where dancers aged 5–9 can channel their inner superstar. Set to today’s most fun, kid-friendly music, this class helps dancers build rhythm, coordination, and confidence.
Program Details:

For kids who can’t get enough of Olaf, Anna, and Elsa, A Frozen Adventure is pure magic. This 6-week ballet program introduces dancers to graceful movement set to familiar, snow-inspired music.
