For dancers 4 years of age, Tiny Tots introduces children to tap, jazz, and ballet in one age-appropriate program. Dancers begin learning foundational skills in three dance disciplines while developing coordination, musicality, focus, listening skills, classroom etiquette, and teamwork. With structured instruction designed specifically for four-year-olds, Tiny Tots gives young dancers an opportunity to explore different styles while continuing to build confidence and independence in the classroom.

To build our dancers confidence and celebrate their achievements, Tiny Tots perform in two professional stage performances in the season; A Winter Recital in January as well as a Year End Recital in June.

Access to a private classroom app for each individual class is also part of your program enrollment! Monthly video posts will allow you to stay updated on what we have been working on in class and assist parents in staying connected to their child’s dance journey. We will also use the app to provide reminders on important updates or events happening within the studio that are specific to your program.

WHY AGE-SPECIFIC DANCE CLASSES MATTER

Children develop quickly between the ages of three and five. Their ability to listen, follow instruction, coordinate movement, remember sequences, and participate independently can change significantly from one year to the next.

That is why Dance Discovery intentionally keeps our Primary programs age-specific rather than combining several preschool ages into one class. Tiny Tots is designed specifically for four-year-old dancers, allowing the pace of instruction, classroom expectations, and activities to reflect where they are developmentally.

As dancers grow, our Primary programs grow with them, building on their skills and preparing them for the next stage of dance training.

Students must be 4 years of age by March 1, 2027

COST
Tiny Tots is a 30 min weekly class at $748 annually. Your annual fee includes your lessons for the term and your recital costume! Fees are payable in 4 installments; full details on payment procedures can be found on our policies page.

No. Tiny Tots is designed as an introduction to tap, jazz, and ballet for four-year-old dancers. Previous dance experience is not required.

Tiny Tots introduces dancers to three disciplines: tap, jazz, and ballet. This gives four-year-olds an opportunity to experience different styles of movement and music while developing foundational dance skills.

Young dancers do not need to decide on a favourite dance style right away. Exploring tap, jazz, and ballet introduces different movement qualities and allows children to begin developing coordination, musicality, and foundational skills across several disciplines.

Regular classes are closed to parent viewing so dancers can focus on their instructor and participate independently. Parents are invited to four scheduled Watch Weeks throughout the season, when they can watch the final 15 minutes of class. Families also receive regular progress updates through their private classroom app.

Yes. Tiny Tots dancers participate in both our Winter Recital in January and Year End Recital in June. These performances give young dancers an opportunity to share what they have learned and experience performing on a professional stage.
